Food + Beverage: Quench your Thirst for Tabletop Shoots with Kris Andres

Words by Eryka Bagwell

Have you ever decided to do a photoshoot using your tabletop rig to capture your favorite meal or drink?

Well, today we're featuring artist Kris Andres who has done just that. He snapped a few photos of his favorite drinks at a local lounge (along with a few other glamour shots). He shared how he effectively used his Platypod rig in a table top setup for beautiful overhead views of his favorite drink.

He also provided us with some still shots (using his same setup) which involves the help of two Platypod Handles which have been extended to their full 10.5" extension, jointed by our Platyball Elite ballhead which allowed him to get the 90° overhead angle he was hoping to achieve. He has also employed the help of a Platypod Gooseneck (attached to his second Platypod Handle) along with a LumeCube Panel Pro 2.0, to efficiently light his subject.

We challenge you to try the same with your gear at home.
