“I am Dracula” with Jesse Feyereisen

"So it turns out that May 26th was World Dracula Day! Commemorating the publication date of Bram Stoker’s 'Dracula' which was released in 1897. Seems like a great reason to do a horror themed shoot in the spring if you ask me!"

"This is actually a promo shot I got to do for work featuring the 7” NECA version of Bela Lugosi as Count Dracula from the 1931 Universal movie. I set up the figure on the tabletop with a medieval stone wall diorama set behind him. I then surrounded him with a few Good AD200 strobes for key, fill, and kicker lights. Next I grabbed my camera with a 100mm macro lens mounted on my tripod and trusty Platyball Elite Ballhead, and took some photos."

"In post, all I really had to do was remove some dust and paint blotches in Photoshop, then finished up in Lightroom with a few more edits including a unique highlight of the eyes that I saw in a promotional photo that I wanted to pay homage to, and converted a version to black and white for that vintage look. Had a lot of fun with this one!"
