"Food photography; what a tasty challenge this was! When the Platypod team reached out to me, I couldn't resist diving in. But, I wanted to raise the stakes and push myself further than I had in the past. So, I limited my light source to a single overhead bulb. The art of food photography lies in its ability to make the viewer’s mouth water, to ignite cravings with just one glance at the image. Over time, I’ve come to realize that while lighting is key, the magic truly happens when styling, angles, and composition harmonize."

"To craft a vivid and tasty visual story, I turned to the texture-rich Duo Boards and Porpcloth from Flat World, transforming the backdrop into a stage where the food became the star. My secret weapon, using two Platyball ball heads (I enlisted the help of my Elite and Ergo) and added an extension arm, perfectly locking my camera into a 45-degree angle. This wasn’t just about capturing food—it was about spotlighting every detail of the wings and fries, pulling the viewer into the dish. The setup created striking depth, dimension, and of course adding an irresistible visual pull."
