Super Blue Moon in Lofoten with Dave Williams

Words by Dave Williams - A Platypod Pro

"The moon in Lofoten tonight is HUGE! We have a Super Blue Moon event right now and I love it! Here’s my artistic interpretation, and an original so you can see what I’ve done. Here’s why: art is subjective. I like to show what I see, and this is what I’m seeing in the sky right now. Some clouds, some haze, some glowing from the moon and from the land. I took a bunch of photos at 900mm and stacked 50 of them with Helicon Focus, sharpening things up and aligning all the images. I then hit Adobe Photoshop to bring my digital hallucination to life, adding the ethereal glow, the stars, the clouds and haze. This file has 14 Layers, and I hope you like it..."

Shot using a Nikon D500 with Sigma 60-600mm on Platypod eXtreme and Platyball Ergo
