"I took these photos at one of my favorite places - Hilton Head. My absolute favorite time of the day is sunrise for the sheer fact that each sunrise is different but, every single new sunrise brings hope for a new start and a positive perspective (along with those same emotions too of course)! I have been snapping photos of sunrises for a very long time, though Platypod unlocked a new and unique perspective for these captures, providing me with the angle that I never knew I needed! A low angle, right along the horizon line. For these shots, my camera was nearly touching the water, all the while capturing the entirety of the sky with the incredible (almost 3 dimensional) puffy clouds hovering above it."
