The Photography Show - I want to come back!

I want to come back!

In a nutshell, that's how Mina and I felt about attending The Photography Show 2025 in London this month. The friends, the food, the fans and the fantastic sightseeing all made our trip “across the pond” an amazing adventure.

According to ChatGPT: “The Photography & Video Show 2025, held at Excel London from March 8-11, featured over 250 exhibitors and brands. Major companies such as Adobe, Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, and Sony were among the participants. The event also included more than 350 seminars and live demonstrations, attracting photography and video enthusiasts from around the world.”

On a more personal level, we had over 500 people visit our booth (in England they call it a "stand”). There was tremendous interest in Platypod and especially what we can do for low angle photography and avoiding the #TripodPolice.

Mina and I had wonderful support from our friends and Platypod Pro's Kersten Luts and Cathy Baitson who helped us run the booth. We were also visited by our friends Scott Kelby, "Chicky Nando", Peter Treadway, Julie Smith, Dave Clayton and a host of others. Here's one of Kersten Luts' photos of Cathy holding the new Platypod Delta that he took whilst presenting on stage at the show.

We made some new friends as well such as Alexandra Laberge of London Photographic, a Meetup.com group that does photography workshops in England.

Bottom line, it was a great show and we have already signed up to come back in March 2026 when the show will be back in Birmingham, England. If you have any excuse to be in the UK at that time, definitely put this on your calendar. It is well worth it!
