01 | END ZONE ACTION CAPTURES WITH LEE HEARD
"Setting up a remote camera in an end zone for a football game is 20% skill, 20% research, and 60% luck. When utilizing remote cameras in the end zone area for football games, I start with researching the tendencies of the quarterback and primary running backs. A lot of quarterbacks like to throw passes to the back corner of the end zones. Additionally, a lot of really fast running backs like to get to the corner and leap for the pylon."
"I typically set up a remote camera on each side of the end zone. One remote camera focused 2 yards deep in the end zone pointed slightly up with a 24-70mm lens and another remote camera on the other side focused 18 inches before the pylon with a 70-200mm lens. Shooting 30 fps bursts, I am fairly consistent with catching action shots with apertures around f5.6 – f8."
02 | NAVIGATING CHALLENGES WITH EXPERIENCE BY LENWORTH JOHNSON
Capturing Beauty and Fashion:
Navigating Challenges with Experience
"In a world enriched with beauty and fashion photography, every shoot presents its own unique set of challenges. From unexpected weather conditions, to last-minute changes in locations or concepts, as photographers, we must be prepared to adapt and also be able to think on our feet, solving the problems as they present themselves, in a quick and efficient way to ensure a successful outcome. However, with experience comes the ability to anticipate potential hurdles and have contingency plans in place, allowing you to keep the show going smoothly."
03 | COLOR, CLARITY, CUT AND CLOSE UPS WITH SHIV VERMA
"This diamond ring set was captured using my trusted Platypod eXtreme and Platyball Elite. These were my primary tools helping support my Lumix camera with a macro lens. Two Zhiyun LED lights, the Fiveray M20 from camera left mounted on a second eXtreme along with a Platypod Elbow. The second Fiveray M20C (pointing upward) I positioned within a translucent base which was below the ring and rose."
"A similar set was used in the Platypod booth at this year’s WPPI conference in Las Vegas. Many of the visitors at the Platypod booth were so enamored with the Platypod Ecosystem (and the sets), that I felt it would be nice to recreate it. The main differences with this set are the lights that I used and I also added a real rose as part of the background for some depth."
