My inspiration was the pioneering motion-freezing photographs made by the father of electronic flash and high speed photography, MIT Professor Harold 'Doc' Edgerton, and his student, the great photographer Gjon Mili, and the field leading ultra-short readout times of the electronic shutter of the Nikon Z8."

02 | Damselfly Macro capture with Stewart Wood
"It was early morning, 3am to be exact, and I found myself venturing into the backyard for this Macro capture; a dew covered damselfly. I used my @platypodtripods mobile macro studio (which included a Platypod Handle, Platyball Elite, Elbow, Super Mini clamp and a disc) and placed a Gerbera Daisy in the background. The Gerbera Daisy made for a tremendous colored background but also refracted in the water drops on the damselfly. A very complicated shot, but well worth it!"

03 | The Big Cheese: Another Platypod success story!
"What I really want to see in a food image is something that makes my mouth water, so my goal in this food session was to give the same type of view as someone sitting near a sun-lit window in a restaurant, taking a bite-size portion of the omelette on a fork, and holding it about 2 inches away from their mouth.
